Santonu takes care of the Consumer Business Group of Zicom. This division provided state-of-the art electronic security to homes and small retail shops. He also looks after the Central Monitoring Station – a global response centre, for the group.
Santonu has his Bachelors in Science from Assam and attained his MBA with specialization in Marketing from Kolkatta University.
He started with JK Organisation in Sales before joining Allied Resins as an Executive- Marketing. In 1987 he joined Kodak India Limited as Executive-Sales and by 1996 became the Vice President- Consumer Imaging. He was responsible in making Kodak the largest photographic company in India Later as Country Director, he was instrumental in the start-up and the phenomenal growth of Herbal Life India. In over 3 years he grew the company into a 140 crore organization with 20,000 retail distributors. Before joining Zicom he was working as Head – Mission 569 towns, of Reliance Infocomm. He has been credited with setting up the Reliance Mobile Webworld chain across these towns with a turnover of 800 crores. He joined Zicom in November 2005.
An ardent classical music lover, his all-time favourite is Beatles. He is very passionate about football and ensures he is updated on the latest happenings there. |
